Energy is the force behind any work that goes any distance in today’s industrialized economy. This fundamental need, and right, to energy has also fundamentally altered the environment within which we live. These competing situations require a transformative solution to our energy system that will be rooted in an ever evolving technological landscape. Engineers have a responsibility to inform the interdisciplinary discourse, bringing a healthy dose of realism and imagination to the debate. The Columbia Engineering Energy Club seeks to fulfill the responsibility in the Columbia community and help usher in a new sustainable era.
